CAPTAIN
Sam Eyles

Born and raised in Cairns, Far North Queensland, Sam was immersed in the tourism industry from a young age. His mother was heavily involved in the diving industry which is where Sam quickly established his love for the ocean. He regularly spent weekends soaking up all that the Great Barrier Reef has to provide.

Upon finishing school, Sam started his maritime career working on fishing vessels in the remote waters of Northern Australia. From there, he then decided there was more to experience in this vast industry and set off overseas to Southeast Asia to begin his career in yachting.

Ten years later, he has now cruised his way around the world from Southeast Asia to the South Pacific, the Galapagos to the Caribbean and enjoyed the Mediterranean charter seasons. However, where he is most at home is in the beautiful waterways of Australia. Since returning, he has taken to the East Coast of Australia and explored the coast he loves best, entertaining guests on Sydney Harbour.

“There is literally no place like Australia. Our climate, waterways, culture and our landmarks will forever leave you with the lasting memories and stories to tell. I am continually blown away by the experiences I’ve had in this beautiful country I get to call home.”

– Sam Eyles

CHIEF STEWARDESS
Teiga Williams-Orr

Growing up on the Far South Coast, Tiega thrived in a childhood based around the outdoors, if she wasn’t riding horses (often on the beach) she was by the water, surfing, fishing, swimming or boating.

At 18, Tiega’s adventurous spirit took her to first to Halimon Island in the Whitsundays then to Perisher in Australia’s Alps before jumping on a plane in 2009 with a ‘round the world ticket, she spent the year in places, like the Cook Islands, Barbados, the Dominican Republic, New York, the UK and throughout Europe. Before finally joining the yachting industry in the South of France in 2010 where she worked on busy private and charter yachts throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean and the USA, ranging in size from 37m – 110m.

After nearly 10 seasons, feeling very comfortable with the high calibre of service in the industry, having had incredible experiences and made lifelong friends, Tiega felt like she was due some extended time in her beloved homeland. Over the next few years Tiega spent time with her family and friends, and studied nutrition, personal training, counselling, and social media marketing while running a health and wellness business between the Northern Rivers and her hometown.

At the start of 2022, quite by chance, Tiega ended up back in the yachting industry aboard M.Y Oneworld only to discover she hadn’t realised just how much she had missed this life, and what an honour to be able to explore her own country in a way that is so treasured and familiar, yet exciting.

Tiega is thrilled to be able to use her experience to blend the style of international yachting with the layback beauty of Australian waters. Sit back and relax while we take care of you!
